Key Responsibilities:

Review drawings to ensure adherence to established specifications and standards
Assist engineering with bill of material accuracy, cost estimating, planning and specifications development
Develops CAD models, Bills of Materials (BOM’s), Job Routings, set-up sheets and occasionally programs for machine tools.
Create drawings for components and assemblies
Perform design optimization for parts and assemblies including material selection, weight savings, and budget
Perform tolerance stack-ups (including statistical)
Participate in FMEAs and design reviews
Providing CAD drawings to support sales, production and new product development
Work with a team to develop new products, improve manufacturing practices, quality control improvement and documentation
Provides process plans and cycle times for cost estimates for quoting new work.

Skills:

BSME/BSIE or Engineering Technology
Internship experience to 0-2 years of experience
Proficient computer skills in Creo or SolidWorks, Excel, Word, and Outlook
Ability to read drawing schematics & layouts
Develop process routers and Bills of Materials.
Understand sheet metal fabrication processes and machining processes.
Trained in Lean Manufacturing principles
Interested working in an automotive manufacturer
